RENO 31 TO GO.

Monday morning. Woke up at 5 am and hit the shower. I find it’s always easier to get up early on Monday because you have the weekend rest. Headed off to Pure Fitness, once there I hit the elliptical for 30 minutes. Keeping my heart rate around 140. Cardio is all mind set. Once you get going you just have to tell yourself “I’m not going to waste this time. Keep going.” Got past the 30 and went to work.

Got home and the sun was still up. Hopped on the 20 and rode around the neighborhood for a warm up. Ripped off 10, 30 yard sprints. With the problems I’ve had in the past involving my back I’ll take it slow and just do 30 yards for the first month. Rested for about 2 minutes then did another 10. I’m hitting about 23 mph on the Cateye. Don’t know how accurate it is but it doesn’t really matter. As long as I use the same set up every time then I can compare them one after the other. Greg Hill told me to keep my knees in when doing sprints. I remembered about half way through and ya it really works. You can get up to speed a lot faster. I’m also trying to stay into the bars more. Around 30 feet is where the hips should start to move back. 30 sprints done.

Went inside and ate dinner with Kristi. She wants to go to the gym with me and help me train for Reno. After letting the food settle we headed to the gym. Monday is leg day. I’m really not sure what exactly to do but I have enough knowledge to do the basics.

One day down 31 more to go

Got something to say?
