ABA Grands

Well its a wrap on the season.  It has been a long, but successful one.  My first appearence to grands was fun, and sad all in the same breath.  If you know or not, I was taken out at Disney nats a month ago and broke my shoulder blade.  The doc said it would be ok as long as I didnt crash on it.  Well the last lap of my second cruiser practice, I over cleared one of the pro doubles and dug it back in to the ground again.  So needless to say I had to race grands injured.  I couldnt ride ROC on Friday, which completly sucked.  So I waited till Sunday to qualify to the semi in the third round of cruiser.  I made it to the main and knew I would have to gut it out, pain or not to do good.  I popped a good gate and came out the first turn in 4th.  Passed two people down the second strait, then disaster struck.  I was manualing through the rhythm section and I looped her...LOL.  Ended up 7th, but that should still be good for a top 5 nag number.  I just wish I could have been healthy to race all of the west coast guys.  Oh well there is always next year.

I wasn't able to race my 20 inch, because of my shoulder so I just rolled the gate and that should have been good enough for a top 10 Nag number.  I am happy with the season.  I accomplished all of my goals.  #1 RLC east title in 19-27x and 26-30 cruiser and NAG number on both bikes.  If I have all of the calculations correct, I should have NAG 4 on cruiser and NAG 7 on 20 inch.  I could not have done any of this without all the love and support of my wonderful fiancee.  She has got me through all of this.  Also all the help from Deluxx bikes.  We are a great team and next year will be even better.

See you all next season.

Got something to say?
