My Racing Bio

How did you get started?

I grew up in Oconomowoc Wi till I was 14 yrs old. I moved 4 hours north to the town of Minocqua. This town is close to Rhinelander Wi where there is a BMX track. I never knew about the track being there much less anything about the sport at all. My parents went into Al's Funiture to buy a table. Oddly enough, the owners of the store enjoyed the sport of BMX. They gave my parents some info and told us to come down to the track with my bike for a new riders clinic. That is where my BMX racing love took off...

List your competitive highlights

1)The weekend before state championships, I broke my collar bone, shoulder blade, and wrist. got a headache too... 2)Got state #3 at my second state championship. 3)Made District Top Ten!!! I'm #6 4)Got a 3rd at Redline Central Finals 5)starting to beat some of the people i thought were good...

What are you planning for next season?

Making district top ten again. Travling a lot and trying to hit up as many national races i can. While im at the nationals i want to make my mains. I was also thinking of getting into NBL and racing in WORLDS.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Convincing my parents to take me to ABA Grands. And making District top ten while still being a Novice and turning Inter half way through the year. And they said it couldn't be done...

MY FIRST TEAM

The best memmories of the Brat Pack Racing Team

I just moved to Minocqua Wi in the winter of 2004. The next season of BMX racing is about to start and I don't know any one at the track. This is my first BMX race ever. I take my brand new Haro SX20 comp to bike inspection for the new riders clinic. There standing at the bike inspection trailer is Mikki Miller. Mikki Miller is the head hancho (team captain) of the Brat Pack Racing Team. Since I didn't know my way around the track she had her son, Shawn Miller, take me around and show me the ropes. Meeting the rest of the family and the Brat Pack Racing Team she asked me if I wanted to be on her team. Shocked because I knew this was only my first day of racing and already being asked to be on the team, I said of course. I was so stoked! From there I started comming to the Rhinelander BMX track as much as possible. The team was always there and we all praticed a lot. The biggest bummer is just reciently (end of 2006 season) my parents pulled me off Brat Pack Racing. :( I choose not to contact that family anymore but I still retired the Jersey they gave me, reminding me of the team. I hang the jersey on the wall for all the good times and memmories i have.

Thanks to Mikki and Ken Miller

Like I said above, Mikki is the captain of the Brat Pack Team. Mikki taught me most of every thing I know about racing weather its how to get outta the gate or how to fix my bike. She really got me going in this whole racing thing. Even though we arn't on the best of terms now, I am glad she taught me what I know. Thanks for everything Mikki. Ken is Mikki's Husband. Ken was like a second dad to me. He was with me a lot and did many things w/ me. I loved shooting his Gun and the Shooting range. He couldn't really teach me too much about BMX but he did his fair share outside of racing. Thanks Ken! I would have never gotten as far as I did with out you guys! Right now there is no contact w/ these people anymore because of a few things that happened but i still have the respect to say thank you for the good/funny times.
