I used to hate time off from racing.  Back in Texas there really wasn't any off season, so it wasn't a problem.  Now that I live in NY you have to do something in the winter or you'll get cabin fever.  Last year I started snowboarding and really fell in love with it.  Mainly I have been going to the local ski area, Dry Hill, but yesterday a friend and I went down to Snow Ridge in Turin, NY.  They claim to have the most snowfall on the east coast and with a 70" base I believe them.  Not all of the runs are open at night, but we hit what we could and did a couple of the jumps.  Now, I am hoping the winter doesn't stop until it it's warm enough to ride BMX again.
